Explosions, Blue Flashes & Power Cuts
There was a blue flash (something going bang?) at an electrical substation in Moredon at 1 o'clock this morning, causing a power cut across various parts of the town.
Swindon Centric Says ; Something to liven up a quiet Sunday evening, no doubt!
After the power cut, all the televisions in our block of 12 flats have no signal, neither ariel or sky. Is there someone out there who knows what has caused this, and can provide a cheap solution to fix it.?
It lit up our bedroom in Purton through closed curtains, similar to a very close lightning flash. Power off for around 20 secs. Found myself wondering if it was "duck and cover" time.
Was an unusual humming noise from the substation around basil close, near moredon. Very loud bang and bright flash of light.
ReplyDeleteMY MUM AND DAD SEE THIS OUT THERE BEDROOM WINDOW IN MARIGOLD CLOSE BUT THEY SAID IT WAS COMING FROM DOWN BY WALMART.????
ReplyDeleteI was awake last night when this happened all the electrics died and the sky lit up with what appeared to be a lightening flash. I'm in Haydon End.
ReplyDeleteWe live near the bottom of Victoria Hill, and was spooked when at around 0100 the answerphone started talking to itself!
ReplyDeleteWe noticed that various clocks had been reset as well, so guessed it was an outage.

ReplyDeleteI heard it was a giant space goat.
ReplyDeleteI too saw it at about 1:00 am.
ReplyDeleteJust caught a massive flash in the sky out of my window (very bright!) and the lights in our house flashed!
